From K to B...
Bellevue’s newest local pub, The B-List, is now open for business. Most
of Bellevue knows The B-List as the old K&K at the corner of Division and
Washington. Co-owners Ben Haggerty and Kevin Feldman have given The B-List
quite a makeover restoring a lot of the building’s original charm. They
have removed the drop ceilings to reveal the breathtaking original tin ceiling.
Haggerty and Feldman uncovered boarded up windows exposing the original
woodwork. They also worked hard to refurbish the bar bringing back its
glow. Haggerty and Feldman have uncovered some fun historical graffiti of
sorts – one being “Vote for Willkie” written in the wall behind the bar where
the women’s restroom used to be. Not sure of the exact date this was
written, but Willkie ran against Roosevelt in the 1940 election.
The B-List is open every day from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. currently offering 10
drafts (including Guinness!) and 15 bottled beers. While the B-List does
not offer food, you can enjoy pinball, pool, darts, and yes the old bowling
machine is still there and soon to be up and running. Rumor has it Golden
Tee Golf may be coming soon. The B-List also has a juke box with music
from all genres. Haggerty and Feldman offer something for everyone.
The B-List hopes to have an official grand opening some time in March. So
keep your eyes and ears open and come visit Bellevue’s newest spot!
