Bellevue Spotlight shines on ...
"The Bubble Shop"
This July and August we are pleased to turn the Bellevue
Spotlight on one of the more interesting specialty shops found in our lovely
community: “The Bubble Shop”.

After a hard day of working in the summer heat and humidity of Bellevue, nothing
refreshes better than a nice cool soak in a tub with a bar of handmade silky
soap from “The Bubble Shop”.
Located at 303 Fairfield Avenue “The Bubble Shop” offers the discriminate
shopper a fine selection of handmade soaps, lotions and other unique toiletries.
Owned and operated by Ms. Nancy Howes since June of 2004, “The Bubble Shop”
highlights the creativity and product satisfaction that comes with over 30 years
of making fine silky soaps.
Intrigued by a simple recipe on an old can of lye found under the kitchen sink,
Nancy started an entrepreneurial adventure in producing products that make it
fun to get dirty. From a simple concoction of lard, lye and water, Nancy
has transformed the making of soap and body lotions into a distinct art form.
Often incorporating locally grown fruit to create such products as her
delightful ‘Bellevue Beach Pear’ soap and ‘Ruby Fruit Body Soufflé lotion, Nancy
turns a small corner of Bellevue into a delightful shopping experience.
So the next time you are out and about along “The Avenue”, working up a sweat as
you check out all the excitement of historic downtown Bellevue, stop by and see
Nancy and let her introduce you to the sensual pleasures of getting clean with
the wide array of products found in “The Bubble Shop”. Your someone special will
be glad you did!
