Friends of Bellevue Awards Dinner...On October 2, 2004 the Friends of Bellevue gathered for the first annual Bellevue Award Dinner. Over 105 supporters, fellow Friends and family of this year's recipient, Mr. Jerry Schmits filled the Bellevue Senior Citizens Center for a night of camaraderie and congratulations to this year's winner. The Bellevue Award is given annually by the Friends of Bellevue to a resident who has shown exemplary community involvement. This year Mr. Jerry Schmits, owner of the famous Loyal Cafe was chosen for his unselfish support of our youth, especially those involved in athletics.
